The Village Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Meeting notices are posted at the Municipal Building, Plain Post Office and Community Bank. Notice also provided to the Home News.

The Plain Fire Protection District provides fire protection and ambulance services to the Village and several surrounding communities. The district is not affiliated with the Village of Plain. Robert Bauer, Chief.
Village Attorney. Assessor & Engineer The Village contracts with
Boardman Law Firm Attorney: Richard
Lehmann for Legal services on an "as needed" basis. There is no attorney on staff at the Village.
The Village contracts with General Engineering Company for engineering services on an "as needed" basis. There is no engineer on staff at the Village.
The Village contracts with Wendorff Assessing, LLC for assessment services. There is no assessor on staff at the Village.
Building & Inspections The Village contracts with General Engineering Company for building inspection services. Appointments with the inspector may be arranged by calling the Village office at 546-2047.
Garbage & Recycling: The village contracts with Peterson Sanitation, Inc. for garbage and recyclables pick-up. Pick-up is on Tuesday, unless Monday or Tuesday is a national holiday. Wednesday is then pick-up day.
Utilities The Village operates its own water system and waste water treatment plant. Further information may be obtained by contacting the Director of Public Works at 546-6551.
Village Park The Village Park & Pavilion, tennis courts and swimming pool are located adjacent to each other at 775 Main St. The pool is open from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
Westbrook Hills Golf Course The Village operates this nine-hole course. The Club House is located at 1225 American Legion Dr. Further information may be obtained by calling the Village office, or the Club House (after April 15) at 546-4001 after 3:00 p.m.
