Performing Arts

The performing arts are in abundance in the area, featuring groups of all sizes and disciplines. American Players Theatre is one of the premier outdoor classical theaters in the country, and one of the most beautiful places to see a play. It’s complimented by many other groups, each with its own artistic perspective.

Chamber music with a Bang! Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society presents “Mixology”  in honor of all the mixing, shaking, muddling, stirring, tweaking that go into making the perfect summer musical libation.  We’ll have concoctions for every taste, all made with the finest ingredients with the greatest of care, complete with your choice of olives, cheeries, or paper umbrellas.  We promise you an unforgettably heady blend served with a serious twist of BDDS flair. 

Chamber music concerts with musicians from all over the country at Taliesin in the  Hillside Theater Sundays, June 17, 24, and July 1 at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

River Valley PlayersRiver Valley Players
Established in 1972 RVP is the community theater association for the River Valley area. RVP’s primary goal is to provide high quality productions of both the classic and contemporary styles, along with sponsoring other theater-related events such as acting classes and assisting River Valley High School produce their annual musical.  RVP is a volunteer organization and is open to anyone of any age having the longing to be involved both on-stage or behind the scenes.

Summer Concerts
Monday evening summer concerts are performed at the historic Unity Chapel built by the Lloyd Jones Family (Frank Lloyd Wright’s mother’s family) in 1886. Located on County T  1/8 mile off Highway 23  3 miles south of Spring Green. London based Theatre de l¹Ange Fou has recently acquired  the  Wyoming Valley Church south of Spring Green off Highway 23. In July 2012, directors Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum will be holding the opening celebration of their mime and physical theatre   residency with the “White Church THEATRE Project”.
