The town of Wyoming is located in northern Iowa County, along the Wisconsin River, just south of Spring Green, WI.  The northern tow-thirds of the town in in the River Valley School District and the Spring Green Fire Protection District.  The southern one-third is in the Dodgeville School District and served by the City of Dodgeville Fire and Ambulance Departments.  The town covers 39.5 square miles and has a population of 364.  It was formed in 1849 and was previously known as Percussion Precinct.

SEAT OF TOWN GOVERNMENT

Located six miles south of Spring Green, twelve miles north of Dodgeville.

TOWN BOARD MEETING

The Town Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30PM.  Notices posted at the Town Hall, Town Recycling Facility and Valley Repair.  To be on the agenda, contact Town Chairman at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. 

PLAN COMMISSION

The Plan Commission meets on the first Tuesday of the month as needed.  To be on the agenda or receive an application package, contact Mike Degen listed above at least three weeks prior to a meeting.  The following require review and approval by the Plan Commission: Zoning charge, conditional use change, a driveway, access to a town road, sign or structural change to a sign, land division of 80 across or less, or a building site.

GARBAGE & RECYCLING

Garbage and recycling services are provided to residents and property owners with a drop-off facility behind the Town Hall that is open on Saturdays from 8 AM to 2 PM.

TOWN RIGHT OF WAY

The town right of way is 33 feet form the center of the road. The Town mows grass, trims brush and cuts trees in the right of way. Trees, shrubs or flowers should not be planted in the town right of way.

AMBULANCE, FIRE AND POLICE EMERGENCY

Dial 911 from anywhere in the town.  The call will be directed to the agency covering the area from which the call is made.
