Bargain Nook Holds Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to Mark Return

After a fire destroyed the store in October 2017, the Bargain Nook enthusiastically celebrated the resurrection of its original location on Highway 14. Owners, landlords, employees, chamber board members, and village and community representatives came together for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 14 to commemorate the reopening and completed construction.
The Bargain Nook is owned and operated by Hodan Community Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing job skills and training to those with developmental disabilities.

The resale and clothing shop had been a staple in Spring Green for two decades when tragedy struck. Months after the fire, store owners acquired a temporary location in downtown Spring Green and patiently awaited the completion of the new retail space.
Marty and Terry Prem, the property owners, were committed to rebuilding.  From tragedy comes new life and new opportunity. The million-dollar construction project has attracted attention from locals and surrounding communities, highlighting Spring Green's economy and ushering in a new era of retail and service storefront space.

This new building offers increased square footage for the Bargain Nook’s inventory and is the home of Bodacious Salon and Simply Health Chiropractic.
