The inaugural ChamberFest at the Spring Green General Store is a two-day chamber music event taking place on July 30th and 31st, 2022. Note: Date Change to August 6th and 7th!
The festival will begin on Saturday, July 30th at 12 PM with a chamber music concert featuring folk-inspired pieces by Anton Arensky, Joseph Haydn, and Florence Price. Following this exploration of folk music through the classical lens, ChamberFest will open the floor to the Spring Green community to share their favorite folk tunes in an hour-long open mic at 1:30 PM. On July 31st at 12 PM and 1 PM, ChamberFest will conclude with two Children’s Concerts featuring a live storyteller accompanied by a string trio. This fun and inclusive event invites music lovers of all ages to learn more about the instruments in the string family, ask questions about the music and featured composers, and enjoy the art of storytelling with a live soundtrack!
All events are free with a $10-$20 suggested donation and will take place on the General Store's back porch or inside the store in case of rain.
